Zvec

A lightweight database that lives inside your app and finds information by meaning, keywords, or both.

What it does

Zvec is a vector database, a way to store the number lists (vectors) AI uses to capture meaning, and quickly find the closest matches. Unlike databases that run as a separate server, it runs inside your own program, so there's nothing extra to set up.

It supports meaning-based search, normal keyword search, and filters, all combined in one query. Its makers say it was tested inside Alibaba and can search billions of items in milliseconds, and that data is protected even if the program crashes.

It's available for Python, Node.js, Go, Rust and Flutter. There's also a visual tool, Zvec Studio, for browsing data, and a search tool for code and documents.
