Privacy

Plain-AyI is a free, read-only guide. There are no accounts, no ads and no cookies, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing. This page explains the little that is counted, and why.

Last updated 3 November 2026.

What we count on the website

To understand what's useful, the site keeps simple daily totals. It never stores names, email addresses, cookies or IP addresses alongside them. The totals are:

These totals are kept for 120 days and then deleted automatically. Only the site's owner can see them. Please don't type personal information into the search box.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and visitors without cookies and only reports totals. See Vercel's analytics privacy notice.

The AI connector

The connector (For developers) lets AI assistants such as Claude and Cursor search the guide. It's read-only: it can't change anything, and it needs no account or key. For it, we count:

We don't store who asked, the rest of your conversation with your AI assistant, or anything else it sends. Your AI assistant's own provider handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.

Keeping the service safe

To stop any one visitor from overloading the site or the connector, a visitor's internet (IP) address is held briefly in the server's memory to count requests per minute. It isn't written to a database and is forgotten within minutes. Our hosting provider, Vercel, also keeps standard technical logs to run and protect the service, as described in Vercel's privacy policy.
