Use with AI assistants
Let your AI assistant look things up in Plain-AyI for you. Ask in plain words, for example:
- "Find me a free tool that transcribes meetings and doesn't need coding."
- "Which open-source tools let me chat with AI offline on a Mac?"
- "Compare the top three image generators on Plain-AyI."
It's a free, read-only connection: your assistant can look things up but can't change anything, and you don't need an account. (Technically it's an MCP connector.)
Claude app (desktop or web): no coding
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector and name it Plain-AyI.
- Paste this address and save:
https://plain-ayi.com/mcpClaude Code
Run this once in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http plain-ayi https://plain-ayi.com/mcpCursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json inside a project), then restart Cursor:
{
"mcpServers": {
"plain-ayi": {
"url": "https://plain-ayi.com/mcp"
}
}
}Other tools and developers
Any assistant that supports MCP over HTTP can use https://plain-ayi.com/mcp. There's also a plain-text summary for AI tools at /llms.txt, and every project's data at /api/projects.json.
Summaries are drafted with AI from each project's own documentation, and each says whether a person has checked it. Always confirm important details on the project's official page.
