What it does
YuE2 is an AI model that writes songs. You give it lyrics and a style, such as "jazz-funk with warm vocals". It first writes a melody and chord plan, like simple sheet music, and then turns that plan into a finished song with singing and instruments.
Because the plan is written out, you or an AI assistant can read and change it before the song is made. It can also create a new version of an existing song in a different style. Its makers say its song quality is close to leading paid music generators.
Who it's for
Musicians, hobbyists and researchers interested in AI music. Running it yourself needs a powerful graphics card.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. Running it locally needs Linux, Python and a powerful NVIDIA graphics card; the README also mentions a free hosted demo run by a partner. New to this? Start here.
