Xberg

Pulls clean text, tables and details out of PDFs, images, office files, audio and more.

New this week

What it does

Xberg is an engine that reads many kinds of files, including PDFs, scanned images, spreadsheets, emails, e-books, web pages and audio, and turns them into clean text, tables and structured data. It can read text from images (OCR) and transcribe speech.

It is often used to prepare documents for AI search and question-answering. Programmers can use it from many languages, a command-line tool, a web API or as an MCP server for AI assistants. The README says it is the next version of a project called Kreuzberg.
