What it does
x64dbg is a debugger, a tool for watching a Windows program run step by step and looking inside it. This plugin connects x64dbg to AI assistants using MCP (Model Context Protocol, a standard way for AI assistants to use outside tools).
Once connected, you can ask the AI in plain words to load a program, pause it at certain points, step through its instructions, read its memory, or show the processor's current values. The AI then carries out these actions in the debugger for you. Its makers describe it as a tool for AI-assisted reverse engineering, which means figuring out how a program works from the inside.
The plugin starts automatically when x64dbg opens. It requires a secret token on every request so that others can't control the debugger without permission. You can change the address, port and token from the Plugins menu.
Who it's for
People who already use x64dbg for reverse engineering or security research and want an AI assistant to help with debugging tasks.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. You copy the plugin files into your x64dbg folder and add a few settings to your AI assistant's configuration, but no programming is needed. New to this? Start here.
