What it does
Windows-MCP is an MCP server: a connector, using the Model Context Protocol, that gives an AI assistant new abilities. This one lets the AI control a Windows 10 or 11 computer.
The AI can open and switch apps, move the mouse, type, read what is on screen and work with files. Its makers say it works with any AI model and does not need special vision models.
There is also a special mode for working with web pages in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Who it's for
Windows users and testers who want an AI assistant to carry out tasks on their PC.
