Running AI at scale

Weaviate

A database that finds information by meaning, not just keywords, used to power AI search and chatbots.

What it does

Weaviate is a "vector database". It stores data together with vectors, lists of numbers that capture the meaning of text or images, so you can search by meaning rather than exact words.

It combines meaning-based search with keyword filters, and supports RAG (retrieval-augmented generation, where an AI looks up facts before answering). Common uses include semantic search, image search, recommendations and chatbots.

It can create vectors automatically using AI models from providers like OpenAI, Cohere and Hugging Face, and runs with Docker, Kubernetes or as a cloud service.
