What it does
When people train AI models, they run many experiments with different settings. Weights & Biases (W&B) is a code library that records each run: the settings used, the scores it reached and the files it made. You can then view charts of the results on the W&B website.
It works with many popular machine-learning tools. W&B can be used in its cloud service or installed on your own servers. The makers also offer Weave, a related set of tools for checking and monitoring AI chat apps.
Who it's for
Data scientists and machine-learning engineers who train or fine-tune models and want to keep track of their work.
Can I use it without coding?
Developers only. You add it to your own Python training code and need a W&B account. New to this? Start here.
Can I run it?
- Cost
- Free, with optional paid extrasThe open-source version is free; the makers also sell a hosted or pro version.
