What it does
Vosk is a speech recognition toolkit that works without an internet connection. It supports more than 20 languages and dialects, including English, Chinese, Spanish, Hindi and Arabic.
Its makers say its models are small, about 50 MB, but can still transcribe continuous speech instantly as you talk. It can also tell speakers apart.
It runs on everything from a Raspberry Pi or Android phone to large servers, and is used for chatbots, smart home devices, subtitles and lecture transcripts.
