What it does
Vibe Coding Toolkit is a collection of guides, prompts and templates for building software with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex. It has two jobs: preparing your computer for development, and setting up individual projects.
You paste a short prompt into an AI agent that can read files and run commands on your computer. The agent then looks at what you already have, suggests improvements, installs and configures tools, and checks the result. For new projects it starts a Next.js web app (a popular website framework) along with a product description file, tests and documentation.
It also covers ways to organise agent work, such as splitting tasks between helper agents, keeping notes so later sessions can pick up where earlier ones left off, and quality checks. The makers say the code stays in your project, while this repository holds the recipe.
Who it's for
People who build apps with AI coding agents like Claude Code or Codex and want a repeatable way to set up their machine and projects.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. You paste prompts into an AI coding agent that has terminal access, which then runs the setup for you. New to this? Start here.
Can I run it?
- Cost
- Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
Try it
- Install an AI coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex that can read files and run commands.
- Open the agent in your project folder or a new empty folder.
- Paste the matching prompt from the README (new project, existing project or machine setup) and let the agent work.
Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
