What it does
Chatbot is a free template from Vercel for building AI chat apps. It gives developers a working chat app they can change, rather than starting from nothing.
It includes chat history saved in a database, file storage, user sign-in and a polished interface. It connects to AI models from OpenAI, DeepSeek, Mistral, xAI and others through Vercel's AI Gateway, and can be switched to other providers with small code changes.
It can be deployed to Vercel's hosting with one click, or run on your own computer.
