What it does
txtai is an all-in-one Python framework for working with AI and text. Its core is an embeddings database, a store that lets you search by meaning rather than by exact keywords.
On top of that it offers ready-made pipelines for tasks like question-answering, summarizing, translating and transcribing, plus workflows and AI agents that link these steps together.
Its makers say it can run locally, so data doesn't have to be sent to outside services, and other programming languages can use it through a web API.
