What it does
Stop That Shit is an add-on for AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Hermes Agent CLI and Pi. Its makers say these agents often do extra work nobody asked for, like adding unused checksums (a code that checks a file hasn't changed), rewriting unrelated code, editing files during a read-only review, or re-checking work that is already done.
It has two parts. A "Skill" is a set of written rules that guides the agent's judgement. A "Guard" checks the agent's actions before they happen and can block them. For example, it can stop file changes in review mode, ask before adding new software dependencies, or stop writes to files outside a list you set.
You start a task with a short instruction such as "review" or "change" and can add limits like which files may be edited. An optional extra skill called STSS rewrites text to cut hedging and filler while keeping important conditions.
Who it's for
Programmers who use AI coding agents and want them to stick to what was asked without extra, unrequested changes.
