What it does
AI agents often need to visit websites, click around and read pages. Steel Browser is a browser you run as a service that programs can control. It handles the hard parts: starting browsers, keeping logins and cookies between steps, and cleaning up afterwards.
It can also turn pages into simple text, screenshots or PDFs, and has a viewer for watching and debugging sessions. You can run it yourself with Docker or use the makers' paid Steel Cloud service. The README says it is in public beta.
