What it does
stack-diagram is a "skill", an add-on that teaches AI coding agents a new task. You describe the tools and services your app uses in plain words, and the agent draws a diagram showing how they connect, using each product's official logo.
It fetches logos from public logo collections, and uses Amazon, Google and Microsoft's own icon sets for their cloud services. Its makers say lines are routed around labels, and the agent checks the drawing before handing it over. Every diagram comes in light and dark versions.
The result is a single HTML web page that works without an internet connection. It can also be saved as a PNG image or a React component (a building block for websites), or shared as a Claude artifact. After drawing, the agent offers to post the diagram to a public gallery, and only does so if you agree.
Who it's for
Developers and technical teams who want quick, clean diagrams of their app's setup for documentation, wikis or presentations.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. You add it to an AI agent with one command, or upload a zip file as a skill in the Claude apps, then just describe your setup in words. New to this? Start here.
Can I run it?
- Cost
- Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
- Runs on
- Mac, Windows, Linux
- Computer
- An ordinary computer is fine
- Privacy
- Sends what you give it to an online service
Try it
- Add the skill to your AI coding agent (such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor), or upload the zip file from the releases page as a skill in the Claude apps.
- Make sure Python is installed and you are connected to the internet so logos can be downloaded.
- Ask the agent to draw your stack in one sentence, naming the tools and services you use.
