spaCy

A code library that helps programs understand text, such as finding names, places and topics.

What it does

spaCy is a Python library for "natural language processing", which means getting computers to work with human language. It can split text into words and sentences, tag grammar, spot names of people, places and organisations, and sort text into categories.

It comes with ready-made models for many languages and supports more than 70 languages in total. Developers can also train their own models and connect large AI language models into their text pipelines.

Who it's for

Developers and data scientists who need to process large amounts of text.
