What it does
smolvm creates small virtual machines, which are sealed-off computers running inside your computer. They give AI agents a safe place to run code without touching the rest of your system.
Its makers say the machines start in under a second and use only the memory they need. You can save a running machine, rewind it, or split it into copies that continue from the same point.
Developers can control the machines from their own code, either on their own computers or on the makers' cloud service.
