What it does
Skill Recorder is a desktop app that records a work session on your screen. It captures your clicks, app and window switches, the web pages you visit, an optional built-in terminal (a text window for typing commands), and, if you like, your spoken narration.
When you click Analyze, it sends the recording to GitHub Copilot, an AI service, which works out what you were trying to do and lists the steps in order. You can review and edit that list.
From the approved list, the app builds a Skill (a written procedure an AI agent can follow when asked) or an Automation (the same procedure run on a schedule or trigger). Its makers say one example, like submitting one form, can teach the agent to handle many similar ones.
Who it's for
People who repeat the same computer tasks and want an AI agent to take them over, especially those who already have GitHub Copilot access.
Can I use it without coding?
