What it does
scikit-opt collects "swarm intelligence" and related methods: ways of searching for good solutions inspired by evolution, ant colonies, bird flocks, fish schools and the immune system, plus simulated annealing.
These are useful when there are too many options to check one by one, such as the classic travelling salesman problem of finding the shortest route through many cities.
Programmers can plug in their own custom steps.
Who it's for
Programmers, students and researchers working on scheduling, routing or other optimisation problems.
