What it does
This is a library of "skills": written instructions that teach an AI assistant how to do specialised research tasks properly. It covers biology, chemistry, medicine, physics, engineering, earth science, data analysis and scientific writing.
The skills explain how to use well-known scientific software and public databases, such as PubChem and ClinicalTrials.gov. They also cover tasks like literature reviews, drafting experiment plans, making publication-quality charts and responding to reviewers.
It works with AI coding tools that support the open Agent Skills standard, such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Its makers note that the health-related skills are for research, not for diagnosing or treating patients.
Who it's for
Scientists, lab researchers and students who use AI assistants for research work.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. Needs an AI coding tool that supports skills, plus a few setup steps. New to this? Start here.
Can I run it?
- Cost
- Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
- API key
- Not needed
Try it
- Use an AI assistant that supports Agent Skills, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
- Add this skill collection to your assistant, then ask it a science question in plain language.
Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
