What it does
Repomix gathers all the files in a code project into a single, AI-friendly file. You can then paste or upload that file to an AI assistant and ask it to review or explain the code.
It counts tokens (the units AI models use to measure text) so you know whether the file fits, skips files you have told it to ignore, and checks for passwords or keys so they are left out. An option can shrink the output by keeping only the key parts of the code.
Besides the command-line tool, there is a website and a Chrome extension.
Who it's for
Programmers who want to share a codebase with an AI chat assistant.
Can I use it without coding?
Yes. The repomix.com website lets you pack a public project by typing its name; the command-line tool needs a terminal. New to this? Start here.
