Reasonix

An AI coding assistant that reads your project, edits files and runs tests, asking before each step if you want.

Fast-rising

What it does

Reasonix is an open-source AI coding assistant. You describe a task in plain language, and it reads your code, changes files and runs commands and tests inside the project folder you choose.

You decide how much freedom it has: it can ask before every step, or handle everyday actions on its own within rules you set. A plan mode shows its approach first. Files it edited can be rewound to an earlier point.

The program runs on your computer, while the AI model is a service you choose and pay for directly. A DeepSeek option is built in, and other OpenAI-compatible services can be added. It's available as a desktop app, a terminal tool and in browsers and editors.

Who it's for

Programmers who want an AI helper that can make and test changes in their code.

Can I use it without coding?

With some setup. There's a desktop app to download, but you'll need an AI provider key and a coding project to work on. New to this? Start here.
