What it does
rea-video looks at a video and works out how each shot was made. It tells you whether a shot was filmed for real, generated by AI, built in 3D, made with code, or captured from a screen. It also covers captions, stickers, cuts, voices, music and sound effects.
It cuts the video into shots, separates voice, music and effects, and gathers clues such as camera noise, frame timing and hidden AI tags. Where clues conflict, the AI assistant running it checks those shots by eye. You get a one-line summary, a remake plan split into what to film, generate and code, and a full report page with frames and notes.
It is designed to run inside AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex. Adding a video-capable AI model such as Gemini or Doubao makes its calls more accurate and lets it write an AI prompt for every shot, but its makers say it still works without one.
Who it's for
Video creators, marketers and curious viewers who want to know how a clip was made, or who want a plan to make something similar.
