PySyft

Lets researchers analyse private data held by someone else without the data ever leaving its owner.

New this week

What it does

PySyft is a Python tool for privacy-preserving data science. A data scientist writes an analysis and sends it to the data owner. The owner reviews it, runs it on their own machine, and shares back only the approved results.

The data scientist can first explore a fake sample of the data, then submit the real job. Owners must approve each collaborator and each result. It works through cloud storage that organisations already use, such as Google Drive.

Tutorials show uses such as testing a private AI model on a private test set, or analysing AI chat logs without exposing them.

Who it's for

Data scientists and organisations that need to work together on sensitive data, such as in health or research.

Can I use it without coding?
