What it does
PyOD finds anomalies: data that doesn't fit the usual pattern, like a suspicious payment or a broken sensor reading. It offers many detection methods across tables, time series, networks, text, images and audio.
Its newer version adds an engine that picks suitable methods for your data and explains the results. AI coding assistants like Claude Code and Codex can use a special skill to run these investigations from plain-language requests.
Who it's for
Data scientists and engineers who need to detect outliers or anomalies.
