pyAudioAnalysis

A Python library for analysing sound: classifying audio, finding events and telling speakers apart.

New this week

What it does

pyAudioAnalysis is a code library for studying audio files. It can measure features of sound, train models to recognise types of audio, such as music versus speech, and classify new recordings.

It can also find events and skip silence in long recordings, split audio by speaker, and estimate things like emotion from sound.

Who it's for

Students, researchers and developers working with audio data.

Can I use it without coding?
