What it does
Prompt flow helps developers build apps that use AI language models. You create a "flow" that links prompts, AI models and bits of Python code together, then run and debug it step by step.
It includes tools to test a flow on larger sets of examples and measure its quality, and to deploy it when it's ready. There's also a Visual Studio Code extension with a visual flow designer.
It can connect to OpenAI or Azure OpenAI with your own key. The README notes the software can send usage data to Microsoft if telemetry is turned on.
Who it's for
Developers and teams building and testing AI-powered applications.
Can I use it without coding?

- Cost
- Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.

- Privacy
- Sends what you give it to an online service
- API key
- Needed. An API key is a password-like code from an online AI service. What's that?
