PR-Agent

An AI helper that reviews and describes code changes before they are merged into a project.

New this week

What it does

PR-Agent reviews pull requests, which are proposed changes to a software project. It can write a description of the change, point out problems, suggest improvements and answer questions about it.

It works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Gitea, and can use many AI models, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and local models through Ollama.

The README says it is now a community-maintained project and is separate from the company Qodo's own code review product.

Who it's for

Software teams and open-source maintainers who want automatic AI feedback on code changes.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It is set up as a GitHub Action, a command-line tool or a self-hosted service, which needs programming knowledge. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
