PocketFlow Tutorial Codebase Knowledge

Point it at a code project and AI writes a beginner-friendly tutorial explaining how that code works.

New this week

What it does

This project uses AI to read through a software project, either on GitHub or on your computer. It works out the main building blocks and how they fit together.

It then writes a step-by-step tutorial, with diagrams, aimed at beginners. The README links to example tutorials it produced for many well-known projects. It can also write tutorials in other languages, such as Chinese.

It is built with Pocket Flow, a very small framework for AI apps, and also serves as a teaching example of that framework.

Who it's for

Programmers joining a new project, students and teachers who want an easy explanation of unfamiliar code.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. You run it with Python and set up an AI model key in a settings file. New to this? Start here.
