What it does
Pipecat is a framework, a set of building blocks for programmers, for making voice and multimodal AI agents: assistants you talk to out loud, and that can also handle video and images.
It links speech recognition, an AI model and text-to-speech into a fast "pipeline" so conversations feel natural. It supports many AI services, and several agents can hand tasks to each other.
Example uses include voice assistants, customer-support bots, meeting assistants, coaches and interactive stories. There are client kits for building apps on different platforms.
