What it does
PDFMathTranslate translates whole PDF documents, especially science papers, and keeps the original look: maths formulas, charts, tables of contents and notes stay in place. It can produce a side-by-side bilingual version.
You can choose from several translation services, including Google, DeepL, OpenAI and local models through Ollama. It supports many languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian.
It comes as a free online service, a Windows app, a command-line tool, a Docker image and add-ons for apps such as Zotero, a reference manager.
Who it's for
Students, researchers and anyone who needs to read technical papers in another language.
