AI memory

OpenViking

Gives AI agents one organised place to store what they know, remember and can do.

Fast-rising

What it does

OpenViking is a memory and knowledge store for AI agents. Instead of hiding memories in a black box, it organises them like folders and files that both the AI and people can open, read and edit.

It keeps three kinds of things together: documents and code, memories such as a user's preferences, and "skills" that describe how to do tasks. Each folder gets a short summary, so the AI can check what's relevant before reading the full content. Past conversations can be saved as readable notes.

Its makers report that adding it raised memory scores for several coding agents in their tests. You can try a browser version without installing, or run your own server.

Who it's for

Developers building AI agents that need to remember users and use large amounts of knowledge.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. Running your own server needs Python and an AI provider. There's a browser demo to try it first. New to this? Start here.
