What it does
OpenUI helps developers build apps where an AI model can reply with real interface pieces, such as charts, forms, tables and layouts, rather than plain text. This idea is called generative UI.
It uses its own compact language, OpenUI Lang, which the AI writes and the app turns into screen elements as the answer streams in. Its makers say it uses far fewer tokens (chunks of text the AI processes) than JSON.
It works with several popular web frameworks and includes ready-made chat screens and component libraries.
