What it does
OpenMed is a toolkit for healthcare text. It can pick out medical details, such as conditions and medicines, from clinical notes, and strip out personal information like names, addresses and ID numbers.
Its makers say the core runs locally once the models are downloaded, so notes don't need to leave your machine. It offers a large catalogue of medical models and supports many languages for removing personal details.
It can be used from Python, on Apple devices, on Android and in a web browser. The README notes that model downloads and optional online integrations use the network.
