What it does
OpenFilm turns a coding assistant, such as Claude Code or Codex, into a video maker. You ask it for a film, for example a 20-second launch video with music. It builds the film out of animated web pages, footage, pictures and sound.
You watch the film take shape in Studio, an editor that runs on your own computer inside your web browser. There you can move, resize and restyle anything, change text, and trim clips on a timeline. You can do this by hand or by asking the agent. Your changes are saved so the agent keeps them.
You can export a video, a GIF, sound, subtitles, stills or a timeline for editing programs like Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve. For AI-generated voice, music, images or video, you connect services such as ElevenLabs or OpenAI with your own keys.
Who it's for
People who already use an AI coding assistant and want to make explainer, launch or promo videos they can still fine-tune by hand.
Can I use it without coding?
