Add-ons for AI coding tools

OpenAgents Control (OAC)

Adds planning, approval steps and your own coding rules to AI coding agents in OpenCode or Claude Code.

What it does

OpenAgents Control is a set of AI helpers (agents) that work inside OpenCode, an open-source AI coding tool. There is also a test (beta) version for Claude Code. You describe what you want built, and the agent writes up a plan first. It only starts making changes after you approve that plan.

You can teach it your project's coding habits by answering a few questions, such as which tools you use and how you name things. The agents then load these notes before writing code. Its makers say this makes the results match your project and use fewer tokens (the units AI services charge by).

The agents are plain text files you can edit to change how they behave. Teams can save their shared coding rules in the project so everyone gets the same results. It works with many AI models, including Claude, GPT, Gemini and models that run on your own computer. The README notes that a big update with a new system is coming soon.

Who it's for

Software developers and teams who use AI coding agents and want them to follow their project's style and ask before making changes.

Can I use it without coding?

Developers only. It installs with a single command, but it is meant for writing software and is used from a terminal (text command window). New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Privacy
Your choice: run it on your device or use an online service

Try it

  1. Start OpenCode with the OpenAgent agent and describe what you want to build.
  2. Review the plan the agent proposes and approve it so it can start working.

Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
