What it does
OpenAgent is an open-source personal AI assistant you run yourself. It connects to more than 30 AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and local models through Ollama, and you can switch per conversation.
It can build a knowledge base from your own files, such as PDFs and Word documents, and answer using them. Its agents can drive a web browser, search the web, run commands, edit Office files and use MCP tools.
It ships as a single program for Linux, Mac and Windows, with a web interface and usage tracking. There is an online demo to try first.
