What it does
Open CoDesign is a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux. You describe what you want, and AI creates a polished prototype, slide deck, PDF or marketing asset.
Its makers present it as an open alternative to tools like Claude Design and v0. It works with many AI models, including Claude, GPT, Gemini and local models through Ollama.
It runs on your computer, and you bring your own AI key or sign in with a ChatGPT subscription.
Who it's for
Designers, founders and makers who want quick AI-made designs without a new subscription.
Can I use it without coding?
Yes. It is a desktop app with installers, but you need an AI key, a ChatGPT subscription or a local model. New to this? Start here.
