What it does
Copilot is a plugin for Obsidian, a popular note-taking app. It lets AI agents such as opencode, Claude Code and Codex read your notes, use tools, and create new Obsidian files across several steps, with permissions you control.
You can set up projects with their own instructions, save reusable prompts, ask quick questions about selected text, and share skills between agents.
You can use your own AI subscription or key, a local model, or the makers' paid hosted models. Where your notes are processed depends on which option you pick.
Who it's for
Obsidian users who want AI help with research, writing and organising their notes.
Can I use it without coding?
