What it does
Nature Skills is a library of reusable "skills" for AI agents such as Claude Code and Codex. A skill is a folder of instructions and helper files that teaches the agent a specific research task.
The skills cover jobs like polishing or translating paper text into a Nature-journal style of English, drafting abstracts and introductions, and making Chinese-English side-by-side versions of papers. They also cover turning a paper into slides, simulating peer review before submission, replying to reviewers and drafting science figures.
Once installed, you describe your task in plain words to the agent, and it picks the right skill. The makers also describe a web version with the polishing and figure features built in.

Researchers and students who already use AI agents like Claude Code or Codex and want help writing papers and making figures in an academic style.
Can I use it without coding?

Try it
- Install an AI agent tool such as Claude Code or Codex, and Node.js 18 or later.
- Use the project's install command to add the skills you need (for example the figure or polishing skill).
- Start a new agent session and describe your task, such as polishing a paragraph or drafting a figure.
