Running AI at scale

Nano-vLLM

A small, easy-to-read version of the vLLM engine that runs AI language models quickly.

What it does

vLLM is popular software for running AI language models efficiently, so they produce text fast. Nano-vLLM rebuilds the same idea from scratch in about 1,200 lines of Python, making it much easier to study.

Its makers say it runs at speeds comparable to vLLM, and it includes several of the same speed-up techniques.

Who it's for

Engineers and students who want to understand how fast AI model serving works, or need a lightweight engine.
