What it does
MonkeyAI is an open-source AI workspace for teams. You describe what you need in everyday language, add any files, and the AI carries out the task and delivers the result. Examples include making slide decks, writing documents, working with spreadsheets, writing and fixing code, and creating posters or page designs.
A management panel lets a team share AI models, knowledge bases, skills, rules and MCP connectors (add-ons that link the AI to other business tools). Admins can control who can use what, review usage records, see statistics and manage billing.
A team can run its own MonkeyAI server so its data stays on its own machines. Members connect from desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux, or from a web browser. The README notes that if you use outside AI models or tools, the related content is still sent to those services.
Who it's for
Companies and teams that want a shared, self-hosted AI workspace for office, coding and design work, with central control over access and usage.
