What it does
MLX-Audio is a library for turning text into speech, speech into text, changing one voice recording into another and generating music. It is built on MLX, Apple's framework for running AI on its own chips.
It supports many models and languages, adjustable speaking speed and voice customisation, including voice cloning. It includes a web interface and a server that copies OpenAI's interface.
There is also a Swift package for building it into iPhone and Mac apps.
Who it's for
Developers and hobbyists with Apple Silicon Macs who want local speech and audio AI.
