MiroFish

Builds a simulated world of AI characters from your documents to explore how events might unfold.

Fast-rising

What it does

MiroFish is a prediction tool that uses many AI agents, small AI programs that each act on their own. You upload starting material, such as a news report, a policy draft or even a novel. You then describe in plain words what you want to predict.

From that material, it builds a simulated digital world. Thousands of AI characters, each with its own personality and memory, interact with each other inside it. You can change things partway through to see how the outcome shifts.

When the simulation ends, you get a detailed prediction report. You can also chat with any character in the simulated world, or with a report assistant that can answer questions about what happened. Its makers say it can be used for testing policies and public relations, or just for fun, like guessing a story's lost ending.

Who it's for

People curious about 'what if' scenarios, such as researchers studying public opinion or readers exploring alternate story endings. Setting it up needs some comfort with technical tools.

Can I use it without coding?

With some setup. You need to install a few tools or use Docker, add API keys to a settings file, and run some commands before using it in your web browser. New to this? Start here.

Can I run it?

Cost
Free, but needs an AI accountThe software is free, but it uses an online AI service (like OpenAI or Anthropic), which usually charges for use.
Privacy
Sends what you give it to an online service
API key
Needed. An API key is a password-like code from an online AI service. What's that?

Try it

  1. Get an API key from an AI provider that works with the OpenAI format, plus a key from the Zep Cloud memory service.
  2. Copy the example settings file and fill in your keys.
  3. Start the app with Docker or the provided setup commands, then open it in your web browser.

Using Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding assistant? Paste the prompt and it will walk you through the setup.New to this?
