Meshroom

A desktop app that turns a set of ordinary photos into a 3D model, using connected processing steps.

New this week

What it does

Meshroom is a visual toolbox where you build a workflow by linking boxes (called nodes) together, each doing one job. When you change a setting, only the steps affected are re-run, which saves time.

Its built-in AliceVision plugin can turn many regular 2D photos of an object or place into a detailed 3D model. It can also track camera movement, merge exposures into HDR images and stitch panoramas.

Extra plugins add AI features, such as picking out objects in images from a text description or estimating depth from a single picture. Work can run on your own computer or be spread across a group of computers.

Who it's for

3D artists, visual effects teams, researchers and hobbyists interested in photogrammetry (making 3D models from photos).

Can I use it without coding?

Yes. Ready-made downloads are offered, though the tool has many technical settings to learn. New to this? Start here.
