mcp-use

A toolkit for programmers to build MCP servers and small apps that plug into ChatGPT, Claude and AI agents.

New this week

What it does

mcp-use is a TypeScript framework for building MCP servers. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a common way for AI assistants to use outside tools and data, such as looking up the weather or reading a database.

Besides tools, it lets developers attach small interactive screens, called views, that show results inside apps like ChatGPT or Claude. It includes a starter project, a built-in inspector for testing tools in a browser, and deployment help.
