What it does
MCP-UI is a software kit that lets AI tools built with MCP, a standard for connecting AI apps to tools, send interactive web interfaces along with their answers.
It provides packages for both sides: one to create the interface on the tool side, and one to display it inside the AI app. Versions are offered for TypeScript, Python and Ruby.
Its makers say the ideas it pioneered shaped the official MCP Apps standard, which these packages follow.
