What it does
Unity is a popular tool for making video games and 3D apps. MCP for Unity connects AI assistants, such as Claude, Cursor, VS Code or local AI models, to the Unity editor using MCP, a standard way for AI to use outside tools.
You can then ask in plain words, for example "Create a cube at the origin and add a Rigidbody", and the AI does it. It can manage game assets, build scenes, edit scripts, run tests and make builds.
Who it's for
Game developers and students who use Unity and want AI help.
Can I use it without coding?
With some setup. You add it inside Unity and need Python's uv tool. A menu option then connects your AI apps. New to this? Start here.
