What it does
A notebook is a document that mixes code, results, charts and notes, popular for data analysis and machine learning. In marimo, when you change one piece of code, everything that depends on it updates automatically, so results never go out of date.
You can add sliders, tables and charts, query data with SQL, and share a notebook as an interactive web app or slides. Notebooks are saved as plain Python files, which makes them easy to track and reuse.
Its editor includes AI features such as code completion and AI assistants, and it can pair with AI coding agents like Claude Code. There is also a free online version.
